Quick cards

I decided to make nice and easy cards today.  Not everything has to be over the top and I’m slowly learning that. I tend to do too much or too little but that’s me.  I love color and I tend to say “color makes the world happy” it’s true, perks you right on up.

My first card will be one that will pop up on my blogs a bit these next few weeks. I need to come up with a card set and stationery set.  May is Lupus awareness month (info here) and purple is the color used to support lupus as well as butterflies. May is also my birthday month, purple is one of my favorite colors, and butterflies have always been my favorite (just check out the decor in my home lol)  I’m lookin forward to seeing what I come up with.

This card was made using Avery Elle wonky stitch frame dies (I am currently out of stock).  Large frame for main panel and small frame for the stamp.  I used a 2” wide scrap from my scrap pile a clear rhinestone. I love it.  The butterfly stamp set is Paper Smooches (available in my shop here) and the sentiment is from “sweet and sassy” that sentiment stamp has become a favorite of mine.

As you can see this started as a single layer card but I felt the need for a cloud 😊 I wanted to use my prismacolors but they’ve gone missing (hmm...) so Crayola to the rescue!

That Hello Stamp I purchased a year or two ago for $1 and finally I’m using it. It is a wooden block stamp. I don’t have many but wish I did.  The dinosaur is a digistamp from Lori Whitlock website (here)

Teacher appreciation

these cards would certainly work for teacher appreciation.  These are definitely easy to duplicate.

The color my world set is available in the shop under lawn fawn.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hi all! Monday was a blur of a day.  So much to do so little time.  I did however have time to make quite a few cards 😀.  Anytime I can get my son into the craft room or classroom as he calls it, I’m game.  We made mini valentines for his preschool class and teachers using the stamps from the shop.  Then, I took mirrored gold card stock also in the shop and wowed myself.  I’m sure we all start with one idea and it ends up being something completely different and better.

Wowzers right ♥️♥️.   I used a new die and an old one.  But things never get old right. We just find more ways to keep using them. The embellishments come from the Pebbles paper pad and sticker set from the January feature of the month.  The adorable puffy hearts came from my Simon Says Stamp kit for February.

please check these out in the store.  Some are sold out.

Take a look at my first post for make a card Monday.

this is my finished product.  I went into this with no idea what I wanted to do.  The flamingo card on the right I completed first and liked it so much I tried to recreate.

I’ve never been too good at recreating. I always do something different or choose a different style of paper or stamp.

Which one do you prefer?  The green one didn’t start out as my favorite but it’s growing on me.  Here are the steps

This is my first paper pad from First Edition and I am in love!!! The pictures don’t do it justice.  From textured pages to glittery and pearlized pages. Beautiful 😍😍
